Steven C. Preston, Administrator of the US Small Business Administration, was the guest speaker at the US Asian Business Council (USABC) Legacy Makers: Asian Heritage Month Luncheon and Celebration on May 9. Some 300 guests came. The new group is a partnership between private and public entities working with business organizations to advance the growth of US and Asian Businesses. The USABC Board of Directors is managed by Jimmy D. Lee, former Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. 

Among the special guests at the USABC Legacy Makers event was Rudy Pamintuan, chairman of the President's Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and also president of Sherman Consulting.
