The Manager of the Automated
Traffic Enforcement Unit will work in a fast paced, team oriented environment,
and will be responsible for managing all aspects of the automated traffic
enforcement program including contract administration and program
application. Duties include: Coordinating and preparing contracts and
performance analyses, and ensure timely, accurate and effective submissions
and responses; Managing contracts; Overseeing, prioritizing and coordinating
all ATEU efforts; Supporting field operations in providing guidance and
service analyses to unit managers, and accurate reporting, clear direction and
accountability; Administrating automated enforcement efforts within the Police
Department; coordination of County Department requests, and various
position-related administrative responsibilities; Coordinating field operation
and administrative managers on all aspects of the ATEU and associated
contracts to ensure goals and assignments are met and addressed; Performing
duties in an efficient, analytical manner while maintaining a high level of
relationship management, confidentiality and professional interaction;
Following all procedures and policies as outlined in appropriate documents to
include, the collective bargaining agreements (FOP and MCGEO), the County
Personnel Regulations and the Departmental Directives to ensure conformity
with all laws, regulations and government agency guidelines; and other special
projects and duties as assigned.
As a manager/supervisor of
unionized employees, this position has a responsibility for fostering a
positive labor relations environment based on mutual trust, respect, and
cooperation.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree
and five (5) years of
progressively responsible professional experience in a field related to
project management. An equivalent combination of education and
experience may be substituted.

Employee will be required to manage significant contractual, human and financial resources in support of a large Highway Maintenance organization encompassing a geographical area of more than 500 square miles with a combined road inventory of approximately 5,000 lane miles. This position requires proficiency in contract development, budgeting, accounting, logistics support and maneuvering successfully within a governmental financial warehouse.
This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of contract development, management and administration of a large portfolio of construction services, professional services and material acquisition contracts. Further, employee will be required to procure and assign significant human, financial, equipment and material resources in support of all aspects of Highway Maintenance including response(s) to natural emergencies such as winter storms, wind and rain events.

Manager III – Administrator, Financial Operations, $63,411 - $115,901 (Requisition #3840): The employee in this senior management position is responsible for supporting the management of the Department of Health & Human Services' (HHS) budget of approximately $260 million, including $55 million annually in State and Federal intergovernmental revenues. Duties include leadership and direction to the Fiscal, Contract, and Cost Allocation and Federal Claiming Teams; developing cost containment and funding strategies; directing fiscal reporting activities; overseeing HHS procurement policies and procedures; and facilitating the review and approval of contracts and other procurement agreements. The work includes management, administration, and clinical oversight of School Health registered nurses and certified nursing assistants who provide direct health care to students. The Nurse Administrator will manage health programs and services which involve health staff and contribute to school health services as well as community wide health objectives. The employee is responsible for resolving complex clinical practice problems as well as personnel and union issues; developing policies and budgets; and, interfacing with local and state representatives, private and community health practitioners, and other agencies to assure delivery of school health services in accordance with federal, state, county requirements.
