Hunt Valley: new Senior Living Community, Groundbreaking

Broadmead groundbreaking-1

October 26, 2018 – Broadmead, a 92 acre dynamic senior living community located in Hunt Valley, had its groundbreaking ceremony on October 26th announcing the new Hillside Homes and Community Master Plan. Broadmead will expand its independent living, assisted living, and comprehensive care, as well as upgrade and renovate the Broadmead Center.  The Hillside Homes, 52 new independent living apartments, will be available for move-in in 2020, and these homes are already 94% reserved. Broadmead will expand its campus physically, allowing service to a far greater number of older adults, while preserving its natural beauty and landscape. Programmatically, the Master Plan will transform Broadmead, adding greatly upgraded dementia and health and wellness curricula along with the best-in-class senior living services that residents have come to expect.

Broadmead, located in Cockeysville, MD, is a 501(c)3 non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), founded in 1979 by the Baltimore Monthly Meeting of Friends. Broadmead serves approximately 500 older adults both on campus and in the surrounding area in the caring Quaker tradition and is open to persons of all faiths.  Broadmead enjoys the highest possible rating – 5 Star – from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
