ASIAN/PACIFIC ISLANDER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RESOURCE PROJECT HOSTS ITS FIRST ONLINE HOLIDAY AUCTION

The Asian/Pacific Islander Domestic Violence Resource Project (DVRP) is hosting its first online holiday auction from December 1-7, 2008 to raise money to support their efforts in addressing and preventing domestic violence in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

As a registered non-profit with eBay’s Giving Works program, DVRP will be auctioning off a variety of exciting holiday gift items, services, and packages. By having this auction online, participants will be able to bid on items from the comfort of their home or office and 100% of the proceeds will go towards programs that support victims of domestic violence and mobilize communities to take actions against domestic violence.

From December 1-7, 2008 holiday auction items can be viewed and bid upon at:

During the holiday season, many of us find comfort and joy in the presence of family. For victims of domestic violence, however, home is not a safe haven. Since 1995, DVRP has helped hundreds of Asian women lead safer lives by providing culturally and linguistically responsible resources and services.

More information about DVRP is available at http://www.dvrp.org
