Asian Business Women Awarded
New York City -- Six
extraordinary Asian women received the 2006 Asian Women In
Business Leadership Awards as they were feted at the group’s Eleventh
Anniversary Gala on Tuesday, October 17th. Over 650

tremendous contributions of Asian women as entrepreneurs and corporate leaders.
The
six women were selected from hundreds of candidates. From an immigrant
who came to this country as an adult without speaking English, to a structural
engineer from an Ivy League college, these women have achieved success while
overcoming gender or economic barriers and share a philanthropic spirit, which
makes them truly inspiring role models.

Global Executive Director – Advertising and Brand for GE and
Chairperson of the Advertising Council, who spearheaded GE’s highly
