Real Virginians for Webb

Daniel Dae Kim, star of TV's "Lost" and arguably the most recognizable
Korean American man in America, has weighed in on the Virginia Senate
race, asking the Asian American community to reject the racism implicit
in Sen. Allen's comments and voting record, and choose Jim Webb.  Mr.
Kim's 2-minute video message has been a tremendous hit on You Tube,
where it has received 2,000 hits in the first 24 hours of release.  The
video is also hosted at the website for the multiethnic grassroots
organization, Real Virginians For Webb.

Kim joked at the taping of the spot in Honolulu, HI, "The only guy on
["Lost"] who doesn't speak English is suddenly talking about a positive
vision of America."  Kim says in the video that he supports Jim Webb
because he shares his vision of America.  He also criticizes Sen.
George Allen, without mentioning him by name, for calling an Asian
American college student a "Macaca" and saying, "Let's have a round of
applause to welcome Macaca to America... and the real world of
Virginia."

One blogger on the site Raising Kaine called Kim's message, "A very
powerful statement for Webb, and against candidates who promote
discrimination."  The blogger goes on to say, "He was not only
eloquent, but you could see the passion beneath his outward calm."
