Singer Charmaine Clamor’s CD Due Nov. 2

Charmaine Clamor’s “Something Good” is due out November 2 on FreeHam Records. Charmaine declares, “I believe there are two kinds of music: the good stuff, and everything else.”

Celebrated by The New York Times as “a gifted vocalist” and by The Los Angeles Times as “one of the important and original new jazz singers of the decade,” Clamor brings her vivacious personality to each track on the album. Throughout Something Good, Charmaine's expressive sound mirrors her views of our multi-cultural world.

Clamor (www.CharmaineClamor.com) reigns as the Queen of Jazzipino, her own music brand and style, blending jazz with the music from her home country, the Philippines. Her voice soars as she sings in her native language, Tagalog, creating new arrangements of beloved kundiman, the traditional Filipino love songs “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (Will You Remember and “Ikaw” (You). Whether it’s jazz, world, soul, funk, pop, swing, blues, folk or jazzipino, Charmaine Clamor always delivers Something Good.

Charmaine's musical journey began at age 3, entertaining passengers in the back of buses traveling to Manila, Philippines. Although music remained a part of Charmaine's life, after she and her family immigrated to the United States it remained an extracurricular activity. A licensed physical therapist for six years, performing music whenever she could, Clamor soon realized she had to follow her artistic calling.
