Korean Church Donation

Two Korean churches have donated $100,000 each to help disabled US soldiers. Dr. Kang Young-woo presented the two checks amounting to $200,000 from Myongsung Church and Yeouido Full Gospel Church, both in Seoul, to US Army Chief of Chaplains Major Gen. David H. Hicks at a Pentagon awards ceremony recently. At the presentation, Hicks, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Lee Tae-sik, and Washington, D.C. Rotary Club president Bob Warren honored Dr. Kang for his charitable work. Also at the ceremony were former Pennsylvania Governor and former U.S. Attorney General Dick Thornburgh, his wife Virginia and Korean Central Presbyterian Church Rev. Danny Roh.
