Manager III (Radio Communications Services Manager)

Montgomery County Department of Technology Services seeks a highly skilled and motivated Radio Communications Services Manager for the County’s Radio Communications System serving both Public Safety and other radio communications needs. This position will provide overall operational and program management of the Radio Communications system. The major responsibilities of this position include: management of 800 MHz trunked radio systems, including the development and implementation of Radio System enhancements; leading radio services team in support of public safety first responders; preparing and managing operating and capital budgets; project management; managing procurement processes; act as liaison to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), interpret and enforce FCC rules and regulations; contract management; and coordinate with the County and other regional agencies to advance and support region wide radio communication systems.
