AAGEN Holds its 8th Annual Leadership Conference
“Leadership in an Austere Environment” gives leaders the tools they need to manage government in austere times

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 7, 2012) - The Asian American Government
Executives Network (AAGEN) will hold its 8th annual Leadership Conference at
the Doubletree Hotel in Crystal City, Va. The conference is open to federal
government employees and is designed to provide valuable learning and
networking opportunities for them to manage their professional careers.

In keeping with the theme, "Leadership in an Austere Environment," the
conference offers sessions and workshops that emphasize ways to be effective
leaders. "This is a timely and cogent theme as the government operates in an
increasingly resource-constrained environment," AAGEN Chairman Tommy
Hwang stated.

The conference agenda focuses on helping managers and staff improve their
professionalism and effectiveness in the workplace. Senior executive speakers,
coaches, and conference sponsors can inspire and motivate employees to attain
their personal and professional goals.

Speakers include career, political and retired government executives, academic
leaders and industry experts who are all recognized and respected in their fields.
AAGEN will also provide its signature Executive Career Coaching session to
attendees, where each participant can meet face-to-face with an executive coach
for consultation and informal advice.
