Virginia New Majority Endorses 4 Alexandria Candidates
Alexandria, VA–Virginia New Majority announced it has endorsed four candidates for Alexandria City Council in the June 12 Democratic Party primary election. The candidates are Sammie Moshenberg, Justin M. Wilson, Victoria Menjivar and Arthur Peabody.
“These candidates are all strong campaigners for a more inclusive and participatory Alexandria,” said Jon Liss, Virginia New Majority Executive Director. “Alexandria needs champions of working families that will put the needs of people first, and these four candidates will do just that.”
He added: “All of these candidates are committed to making Alexandria an inclusive city for all of its diverse residents, and will be champions of civil rights in their tenure on council. Each candidate has expressed a clear intention to foster economic security in Alexandria by defending workers’ rights and ensuring Alexandria’s immigrant communities are able to thrive.”
