8th Asian Festival Moves to New Venue

Arlington, Virginia–This year, the two-day 8th Asian Festival is moving to a new location, according to George Duangmanee of the Asian Festival committee.

The new venue is the George Mason University parking facility, located across the George Mason Inn in this county.

“Asian Festival 2011, Destination Asia” will take place on July 23, Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on July 24, Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Duangmanee said the new location is more spacious and convenient. Unlike last year, people can park their cars near the festival site. The festhttp://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/launch?.gx=1&.rand=2e320d5p4nen0ival will showcase all-day performances, tennis competitions, arts and craft booths, Asian cuisine, and more.

Last year’s venue was Lake Newport Square in Reston, Virginia. Over 50,000 people, many of them with their families, came to the weekend festival.

The Asian Festival is presented by Singha Beer, US Tennis Association Virginia and the Thai Tennis Organization in America (TTOA). Media partners include Manila Mail and Asian Fortune.
