Washington, D.C.–Lao PDR Ambassador to the US Seng Soukhathivong turned over the chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Committee in this capital to Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose L. Cuisia, Jr. during a meeting on January 31. Cuisia will chair the ASEAN Washington Committee from January to April 2012. The Philippines is also the current country coordinator for ASEAN-US dialogue relations.
