From Jan. 31 to Feb. 1, the Eden Center, a Vietnamese shopping destination, celebrated the Lunar New Year with a lion dance, face painting, and giveaways.

Fair Oaks Mall:

Lunar New Year Celebration at Fair Oaks Mall by Hai Hua Community Center. This Celebration was the 11th Lunar New Year cultural event following the successful inaugural festival launched in 2004. The venue included culture performances, demonstration, and arts and crafts activities. This two day event attracted an audience of close to 200,000.

Lakeforest Mall:

From Jan. 27th to Feb. 9, 2014 the CCACC hosted its annual Lunar New Year celebration at Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, Md. The theme this year was the “Wonders of Chinese Traditional Dance” and the celebration featured folk dances from the Madison Chinese Dance Academy, the CK Dance Academy and others.

NCC:

On Jan 31 the National Children’s Center celebrated Chinese New Year at their 3rd Annual Fundraiser at Ping Pong Dim Sum in Chinatown. NCC is one of the region’s largest providers of services for the special needs community, and proudly maintains the mission of providing a lifetime of opportunities for people with developmental disabilities in the Washington metropolitan area.
